Kami Dempsey-Goudie
Kami Dempsey-Goudie has an extensive background in all aspects of government relations, community outreach & engagement, long-term infrastructure planning, and public policy. Kami founded Accretive Consulting, a full-service political, government affairs & communications firm, in 2003.
The firm has enjoyed tremendous success, including winning candidate and issue campaigns, defeating anti-business legislation, representing sound policy at all governmental levels, and managing strategic communications, and coalescing trusted voices for policy issues.
Kami has also conducted media relations, message development, coalition building, fundraising, and event planning for an array of issues and elected officials serving in the Nevada Supreme Court, Executive Branch, State Legislature, the Clark County Commission, and other local municipalities.
Kami has utilized her personal public policy expertise to assist with drafting policy priorities for elected leaders whether it be largescale issue-drive changes or moderate proposals. She has worked both inside the government and for private corporations, some of which were highly regulated. She has managed crisis communications for elected officials and helped guide strategies to achieve consensus at all levels.
In her role as an advocate for various private and public sector clients, Kami has worked alongside leaders at all levels on Nevada-specific and regional issues ranging from: natural resources and clean energy projects; economic challenges & job growth; transportation and infrastructure improvements; and other various societal issues directly impacting diverse communities. She has a deep-rooted understanding of legislative and administrative processes, as well as a keen awareness of how local government works from inside the walls, which all provide a unique and comprehensive perspective when developing winning strategies for her clients.
Kami is a native Las Vegan. She holds an M.B.A. from Colorado State University and a Bachelor of Science Degree with an emphasis in Political Science from the University of Northern Colorado. She is an IAP2 certified Public Participation Planning & Management Practitioner and is a certified Disadvantaged Business Entity certified through the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) and Harry Reid International Airport.
She’s passionate about giving back to her community which has given her so much by actively supporting organizations and charitable groups like Big Brother Big Sisters, Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation, Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation, Pathway from Poverty, and Veterans organizations. She is a former Board member of the Nevada Women’s Philanthropy, Communities in Schools, and Project 150; and currently serves on the Board of the Public Education Foundation as well as the Executive body & Board of the Discovery Children’s Museum.
